Jan Watson has been a litigation paralegal for approximately thirty-one years. Originally a graphic designer, Jan’s legal career began in Northern Virginia in 1989, when she returned to school for her paralegal certificate. After being certified, her practice focused primarily in the areas of personal injury and estate disputes. In 1996, she began a 24-year tenure with a Northern Virginia firm gaining additional expertise in personal injury, while becoming a seasoned veteran in the areas of medical malpractice defense, family law, and corporate, real estate and estate disputes.
Jan is a trial veteran and advocate for her community. She was active in the local bar association, served as guest lecturer and taught CLEs on “Trial Preparation for Paralegals” and “Medical Records Management for Paralegals.” In addition to her experience in the courtroom and helping others, Jan is committed to professional growth. She is certified in E-discovery and served as a project manager with her prior firm.
In November 2019, Jan and her husband decided to call Texas home. They have fallen in love with our state and enjoy gardening, art and photography, playing with their two Labradors, riding horses, and sport shooting.
